Given the price of this set, its a real bargain to extend the use of your Risk game in a different direction as well as add a little more complexity and strategy to it. Although, there is little strategy in Risk anyway, so ANY improvement there is welcome. Overall, I'm glad I purchased this product.
<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: 1) Map is gorgeous - wish I could make one that nice!
2) Everything printed with no lost edges on 8.5"x11" paper. I printed the cards, turned the paper (card-stock, really) over and printed the sheet of card-backs onto them with virtually perfect registration, front to back! Great job.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: 1) Many typos in both rule book and the printable cards. A few (on the cards) make it unclear as to the effect of that card.
2) Counters are black outlines on whatever color paper you print them on - which means no color coding for each player if all you have is white paper. They are labelled as "Player 1", "Player 2", etc, but I don't foresee this working well with the original, color-coded Risk pieces. You could, of course, print all of them 4 times on different colored paper each time to get a complete set for each player in unique colors, but that is a major waste of paper, ink and time. Have to break out the colored Sharpies, I guess...
